The correctness of the waiters is really impressive. I find the restaurant suitable for all occasions, irrespective of whether with colleagues, acquaintances or relatives. It's always nice and we had a nice afternoon there. My husband and I were there too together and each of us has I ordered something different, I can say I tried a little of each and it was really good.

When you drive past the "Alten Fritz" on the Warnowufer, you think that the traditional building has long been closed - so don't let the darkness put you off. The entrance is on the harbor side, there are also enough parking spaces available. Inside there is a quaint, charming and rustic ambience, very spacious, and sometimes very nooks and crannies. Wonderfully friendly atmosphere, very relaxed service, excellent, rich brewery food that is worth every cent on the rather higher-priced menu. On offer everything that every heart desires: fish, salads, meat, vegetarian. In addition, a great selection of beers from the renowned and great Störtebeker brewery in Stralsund, some of the beers are fresh on tap. Friendly, tasty, relaxed - the "Alten Fritz" is a great place to enjoy the evening with culinary delights.

Hell, we've been waiting with 5 small children for over an hour. In addition the relatively high prices! Something doesn't fit together here. There is also no possibility to reorder at least one drink due to the lack of service !!! All children's drinks are empty. Can't recommend this place, especially with kids. The fish on the children's plate looks good, but I would prefer fish fingers for children (but that may be a matter of taste)

Arrived there looking for a restaurant. We had our dog with us, which of course didn't make the search for a restaurant any easier Restaurant The nice waiter at the entrance brought us to a place where not so many sat. The food was bomb. The cod was really delicious and the pikeperch anyway. The staff was often with us to ask if everything was correct or if everything was in order. Actually, the 5 stars are not enough, it should be more ☺️ can only recommend the shop to everyone as the interior is also quite appealing.

Quaint but stylishly furnished restoration. Very tasty beer and we received a friendly welcome, even if we only wanted to drink 2 beers. So I can't judge the food. Clean sanitary facilities.

Overpriced system catering. High-quality frozen products, professionally defrosted and seared. Service is quick and attentive, prices are not in line with the quality of the food. The interior is completely constructed and recreated from a "real" brewery. Beer comes out of the bottle, in the bottle on the table - for 4x the price of the beverage trade. There are a few vegetarian dishes, unfortunately nothing vegan. For us once and never again. Not a real restaurant, run with love by the owner or master hand, rather pale-staged factory dishes from the freezer at completely disproportionate prices.

We were with a group, on two days of our extended weekend, in the old Fritz, for dinner. It was just great !! On the first evening I had the goat cheese salad (my husband had the pickled meat) and on the second evening I had the water buffalo burger (my husband had the knuckle) ALL RECOMMENDED WITHOUT EXCEPTION !! Service was ok too. The rest of our group also enjoyed everything and it was more than sufficient.

Delicious food and a rustic atmosphere. The service was also super friendly. However, the prices are quite high, you have to know that.

Wait 5 minutes at the entrance and look for the sign that says "you will be placed" The contact cards lay ready to fill out on a high table. I wanted to use the time and fill it in when the waiter finally came up to us and wordlessly knocked on a sign, turned around and walked away. The sign read "please do not touch the table". I've never been left standing so arrogant and unfriendly. Then we ate in the log cabin!

We made a detour from Warnemünde. Quaint restaurant with delicious Labskaus. All other dishes on the menu make the choice difficult. If, like us, you don't come especially for Labskaus. Service nice and efficient. We recommend.

The food is delicious, the service is extremely friendly and the decor is beautiful. Everything was consistent, we liked it very much. Oh yummy beer. Störtebeker in X variants. Many thanks. Dogs are also absolutely no problem

Very rustic and cozy brewery with a rich menu. The different Störtebeker beers are delicious and the food was really good too. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Highly Recommended!!!!!

Took a long time for the food, had I not waved they would have remained with my food yet. Asked for salt and pepper. Jawohl was the answer, finished eating without anyone showing up.

The food was very good, absolutely delicious. It was served quickly and in a friendly manner. We got a little downer when the waitress complained that the tip was too little. I've never seen it in this outrageous form.

I ordered a alcohol free Radler beer and I was unfortunately delivered one containing alcohol. When I asked the waiter to change it because I couldn't drink it he went inside to verify and just told me that it was not his fault, so he wouldn't replace it. So I just wasted 5 Euros and remained without anything to drink. The food came in batches - 3 ppl got their food first, while the 4th came only some 4-5 minutes later. Nobody could start not out of courtesy, but because before the last dish came there was no cutlery on the table (even though we asked a different waiter for it). Food was good but for the price and the really poor service I would not recommend the place. You can get much better closer to the Altstadt. You probably also won't have someone hammering a nail on your bench during your meal either (yes, that happened).

Good food, plenty of choices, would recommend. Waitress knew the menu inside out, really fulfilled. Cannot fail with the good food here and the costs are fair. Very interesting menu, getting excited about coming back to try some more dishes. We had been shown to our table straight away with no waiting around.

Little to no vegan options, we ordered 1 portion French fries. The waiter assured that it's a common sized portion. Turns out we got served not more then 20 fries in a super tiny bowl and paid almost double what you‘d expect!

The place is popular and good. Quite expensive, though. I recommend the takeaway assortment of local beers. Excellent business idea.

The atmosphere is quaint, cozy, appealing and clean. The service very prudent, courteous and polite. The beer selection reasonably sufficient. We ordered two different dishes and a starter. The quantity and quality of the food ordered by us was normal, the price for this from my point of view not justified.

Very friendly and nice. The food was very tasty. Everything freshly prepared. I can only recommend. We felt very comfortable.

The beer was nice but the service... they forgot our food. After 40 minutes we got our curry sausages. A dish that couldn't take more than 5 minutes to prepare, and we was almost alone in the restaurant.

A place to have some Störtebeker beers and some food. I was quite late, so the beer only. The beer is unique, about 6 variants, brewed in Stralsund. The place has marine touch due to the proximity of a harbour. Staff is friendly and communicative. They have beautiful beer glasses to buy as well.

Good place for traditional German food. Prices not great, but not too bad. Beer selection is somewhat limited - if you like Störtebeker then you will be happy. Best in the warmer months when you can sit outside. The inside is "traditional" but not cozy at all.

Food ok but staff very unfriendly and non-serviceminded. Have been there plenty of times, but the last occasion really took the price. We are done with Fritz.

A couple of actually unique beers. The staff pretend I didn't exist though, painfully obviously too. Some pretended not to speak German, but switched to German as I switched to English. Classic issue at the end too of no one wanting to take the customer's money. Good atmosphere and decor. Decent beer, diabolical service. Avoid.

Was visiting Rostock and looking for a good authentic​ German food and beer place. Stumbled upon this gem and it didn't disappoint. Great food, service and beer in a cool outdoor terrace.

Very cozy place and very nice design. Great beer selection with two in house brewed beers that are definitely worth it. The food was absolutely OK, though not mind blowing. Go for the beers, the location by the river and the comfy atmosphere.
